Liv To Write

A blog and podcast for Writers

Liv To Write was created in the hopes of inspiring other writers, whether well along their writing careers, just starting out, or even just thinking about the possibility of putting pen to paper and fingers to keys.

I started Liv To Write with the hope of inspiring myself. After earning my MFA, I fell into a bit of a creative slump. Something that oddly felt counterintuitive to what I should have been feeling after achieving the coveted MFA. So I went on a hunt to find ways to get inspired, be creative, and maybe get to a point of productivity. In this search, I realized this is a problem many writers have at some point or another. I found one of the ways that always brought the muse of inspiration calling, was just talking to other writers. Hearing about their process, their inspirations, their success, and their failures. That’s why I started Liv To Write; to share that inspiration with others through my blog and podcast.

Livia Hermiz

My name is Livia and I earned my MFA January 2019 from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. I also have a BA in Literature and Creative Writing from the University of California, San Diego. My MFA focus was on Fiction, but like most writers, I also love writing an expressive poem, a cathartic piece of nonfiction, and even a fun piece of kids lit!

I received my first publishing credits with Dreamers Creative Writing Magazine, who published two of my poems: Oh Emma and Slow Dancing in a Burning Room. As for other credits…well I’m still working on that!
